Hello garden friends
I am Renee and I am a gardener and a DIY gal who just wants to create and inspire others to garden and to work with nature. I have 2 green thumbs which brings me a whole lot of happy when it comes to nurturing plants back to life from a dumpster or sale rack. There is nothing better than being surrounded by the beauty of nature with the bees buzzing and the birds chirping.
I have had a love affair with plants since I was a little girl when I would pick wild violets in the woods and make May Day baskets for everyone. My favorite memory is carefully climbing the huge Magnolia tree in my grandparents’ front yard where I would sit on a huge branch a few feet above the ground surrounded by the soft pink petal blossoms and daydreaming of ponies and puppies. It was heaven for me and a time that I did not have to hear the noise from the world until my grandmother would call out “Renee you better not be climbing the Magnolia tree!”
My love of rocks, plants, and all things nature started in elementary school with science fair projects. I loved learning about rocks and plants and through the years my love for nature and her wonders has not waned. I feel alive when I am walking in the woods or walking in the aisles of a garden center. Gardening is a passion that grows as each flower blooms or tomato ripens on the vine.
